Suddenly we do not have her anymore, she is gone for good. So sad. She came to us 3 years ago, it was the loving cat of my mam and when she became ill, we prommised her to take good care of Speedy, that is her name.
I always call her she, but it realy was a he. I was not so happy to get her at first, but after a while I loved her so much or even more as my mam did. She came on my lap whenever she found me sitting on the couch. To Dieter she only went to get food and when he came into the room,Speedy walked right with him to the fridge looked at him whith her lovely eyes and walking around his legs, Dieter could not resist her bagging. No wonder she was a little tooo fat, but we tried hard to not over feed her. In my work room she found the best place in the house. I have a lot of silk laying around in a low closet. Wow silk!! that felt so cosy, she could nicely cuddle in that spot.
It is only 5 days ago when she died so unexpected and I misses her very much. Thinking about a new kitten???
Yes???
No???
Maybe???
Not yet.!!
Sorry about your loss.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm a dog person, but when mine died we waited two years. However it was my parents choice, I think you just need to wait until the point where the next cat isn't a direct replacement. That may be now, or it may take time I guess, depending who you are.
Thank You James for your nice words and for taking action in reading my blog. Greetings
VerwijderenCody - I am so sorry for your loss. It's amazing how quickly pets work their way into our hearts, especially when they choose us!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenJust 8 1/2 years ago I was single and rambling around in a big house all by myself. Less than a year later, I was married, a stepmom, & a "mom" to a dog & cat my husband brought along. We then added 1 more cat who went on to have 6 kittens! My Jaela sounds a lot like your Speedy - a love for a warm lap, the refrigerator & shameless begging with her lovely eyes. (She's also a little too fat ... we're working on that!)
We're sending lots of love your way & will spoil our remaining pets a little more today in Speedy's honor. You have so much love to give - the right pet will choose you again at the right time.
Hi Kelly, Thank You very much for this letter, I still have no place in my heart for an other cat yet, Speedy was so very special, but who knows, one day a kitten comes along to fill in that spot again. Greetings
VerwijderenSo sorry for your loss. I've had several fish called speedy. It's a good name. Hugs!

Hi Tiffany , thank You for Your nice comment. Hugs back.
VerwijderenI'm so sorry, I've had to put cats down in the past, and it's so hard. Your kitty was so pretty!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHi Kim, Thank You for your nice comment and greetings.
VerwijderenI used to be a dog person--never loved a cat until we got our 14 cats. Okay, there's quite a story there, but they were feral cats we tamed.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAnyway, I can't imagine having to go through what you are going through. Unexpected deaths are always tough.
I found you through the Ultimate Blog Challenge. Hopefully your loss will get a little easier as the days go by.
Hello Ruth. Wow 14 cats, that must be a great story, We too had a feral cat as You call it, but we could not tame her. She only did what She wants and that was not easy. Speedy was a lovely cat, only her fur was difficult to handly.
VerwijderenSo sorry. I think a new cat would help you AND give that cat a new, loving home. Do it!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHi Carolina, I know it would help but I think it is still too early. Greetings
