One of the sports I did not like at all, is now all what I do. I was smiling when I saw a group of people with there sticks in the hands and asked myself Why oh Why are they not just walking fast, why do the use those sticks. Anyway. Years past by and now I listened to my doctor, who said, You do not use your arms with big movements only tiny ones that is what I do for my art work.
Very tiny stiches with the machine and also by hand. I did that for years. When I was young I was a dancer and even a teacher and use all big and nice arm movements, but not anymore. So we went to buy Nordic Walking sticks, I almost cried when I held them in my hands and felt sad. What to do with this sticks. Come on my husband said, lets walk. And then, suddenly I felt the movement the dynamic in my steps and arms.
Yes I have to admit, I love it and try to walk every day for at least 5 km. It feels good and also ashamed that I laughed at people with those sticks before. I am cured and won't laugh anymore. But now I met people who look at me and say: That looks so funny that nordic walking with your sticks and than I tell them, Just go and try them yourself, You will be surprized.
