Just a happy start

Till now this month was very busy, but also interesting I did a lot, exept writing my blog, sorry it took so long.

First I had to get my textileart to the Galery “Het Achterhuis” in Roermond. Dieter helped me very good, to bring all the pieces save to the galerie, we did not need a car because the gallerie is in walking distance and the weather was fine. The official opening was on friday the 10th. And was opened by Connie Hannen, she did a good job and there were about 55 people at the opening. We are 4 artist. Mary Jose Voncken with paintings, Yvonne Hensgens with keramiek, Marlies Lavarack with juwleries and myself with textileart and plastic recycled bags and shabby chique colliers.

We are open on Saturdays and Sundays only and that is realy nice. We got already a lot of visitors. The show will go on untill the end of january.

Than I worked also as JESTER in the theater The Oranjerie for Lachenderwies a show that runned for the 5th time and I always was the JESTER in this show.

That means to bring in the comedians by the public and bring them on stage and back again when they are ready. It means a lot of running and smiling all the times, for 4 hours, but I love it. In the meantime I finished my very large quilt, I just did the binding and maybe tomorrow I still want to do some stibbeling on the machine around the borders. We will see. I love the colour combination with the gray silk around it.

I’m surprized what I will do next!!!!! I will let You know for sure it will be with some nice fabric

My Hubby Dieter, he too was working very hard on his large artpiece “The Face” I will write about it more next time.

Meeting with Stars!

This morning was a nice start in the day again. I launched my computer watched my mail and blog, gave some answers and than I put on I Tunes, connected my computer to the radio for a super sound.
Found all the great french singer my husband likes so much.
Dieter used to work just before my time in the 1950 till 1964 in different theaters in Europe and worked many times with great french artist, like: Charles Aznavour in Ancienne Belgique and in Casino Montreux and  a TV Show in Hannover.

He played chess with him. I love his song La Mamma, it always gives me gooseskin. It reminds me of sad episode which happened in Bruxelles, we stood with our caravan inside of an old campingplace in the centre. There were some gypsies with their trailers, one night when we came home, we heard people crying and an old gypsy woman was dying. The song la mamma fit with these emotions.
Then he met Phillippe Clay,  click the link for a nice song of him Ecoute ma bien! Charles Trenet,     George Ulmer , this video of the song Pigalle has nice pictures of Paris, he was a commedian and singer, Dieter also worked with him in Sala Fiesta Emporium in Barcelona. But there was also a great orchester Perez Prado who was a big STAR at that time, coming from Cuba, they called him the
 KING OF MAMBO his famous number was Mambo nr. 5. and Dieter did his Footjuggling Act  to his Music.

Leopoldine

A story about a beautiful lady, her name:Leopoldine, born around 1875, who meant to be the grandma of my husband Dieter. What is so special about her. First I found some very nice pictures of her. We made digital art out of some. Second,  I wrote a book in the form of a DVD about "125 years artistfamily Lange". Leopoldine was no artist, her parents had a mill on the donau yes they had a boat with a mill on it and went to the surrounding farmers  for grinding their grain. I found some pictures on the net. When she met Dieters grandpa who was working high on a rope and walked from church to church, she decided to leave her family and traveled with him.

So she also learned an act and became an air acrobat and sang at the same time. They started a little circus. They became 4 children and all were working as artist in the Circus of their parents and started very young.

So, Dieters father also married, her name was Louise, who was not an artist, she too went with the circus and worked as a dog trainer with 14 dogs. Than Dieter, my husbant, when we first met, I was a dancer and very attracted to him and his lifestyle and so I joined him for our lifejourney and me too learned an act and became an Antipodist.

Showtime

The last three days I performed on stage as jester. The days went by so quick. It was a lot of fun and it looks like they were happy with me. I had to run backstage and back to the front to bring the different artist passing by  the public on stage. There was: Belsj leger, Maurice Timmermans, Andy Marcelissen,(I got a very funny poetry book from him: EEN 10 VOOR SPELLING) Ben Verdellen, Berrie Knapen, Cheerleaders 1 FC Köln, Hans Eijkemans, Ger Frenken, Jan Geraedts and the speaker Olaf van Eijndhoven.
I had an own spot on the corner of the stage with a soft  spotlight on me.

It was always a long evening I had to be there at 17.30 because I got a very interesting make-up, done by Lotje whom I know for many years.

After the show my husband and I had a glas of wine in the theater bar and ofcourse I still had my face painted so I got a lot of attention.
I was a little tired today, but while I was on my computer I was thinking of starting pinterest and was surprized how quick that was done. I'm not ready yet but will work on it more tomorrow.

JESTER

Next week I will again act as a Jester, with LACHENDERWIES here in the Theater "De Oranjerie" in Roermond.

This will be the 4th time. It is really fun to do, I will explore the various "Buurrereedners" to accompany the scene. This show is organized by the "Sjtadsvastelaovesvereniging D'n UUL".

Here is a picture of my costume, I handpainted the silk and has several times served as a stage costume.

Every year I make the collar a little nicer, some more Swarovsky and sequines. I get each year a different makeup, that is for me a surprise what this year is going to be. There are 3 performances. I am very much looking forward to that show.

Apollo

Happy New year, to everyone who read my blog and thank You for visiting. This is a good start for 2013 to do the ultimate blog challenge again. I joined the first time a half a year ago and so I know this is not an easy task, but also very good for me to do. So here we go.
Last night we went to a lovely theater, called the Apollo in Düsseldorf Germany.

They have a good Variety Show and because Dieter, my husband and I used to work at variety's as Antipodist we enjoyed it very much. You can have a look at an old post from me to see what we used to do. http://codiart.blogspot.nl/2012/04/there-s-no-business-like.html
The original Apollo Theater in Düsseldorf was bombed during World War 2 and now Mr. Bernhard Paul has opened this new Apollo Theater 15 years ago. He himself is very well known for Circus Roncalli.I worked with him as choreographe for the Showballet in the "Alte Oper" Frankfurt.

A friend of us, Mr. Carol Loettel invited us for yesterdays dinner show and we were very happy to be there, together with Dagmar and Panda also friends from the Showbusiness. Panda was an Elephant trainer.
After the show we had our first dance of the year together with the showpeople on stage.
When we came home, our neighbors were still partying so some more DANCING!. Now it will be time to concentrate on my ART again and I will talk about this in the days.

Bonny West, watch her great Act

A while ago I wrote about my daughter Nathaly, who lives and works in Las Vegas Nevada. At this moment she is working at the Viva Elvis Show from Cirque du Soleil. She is a Cowgirl and worked as an artist since she is 15 years old. She was practicing with her dad, many hours a day.

As You click the link from the Elvis show You see that it is the last season and so, Bonny West ( that is her Artist name from the very start )has many idea's for new Shows, she is a real born Artist.

Digital Art

Today I would like to write something about my digital Art. Since I have my MAC I love to play around with my photo's. So I bought the software from Adobe Photoshop Elements many years ago and love it. Unfortunately I should upgrade my Mac Book to the latest version LION, but than Photoshop Elements does not work anymore. Two years ago I used to work much more with digital images as I was making a book about Dieters Artist Family called "125 Years Artist Family Lange" By looking through all the old photos I had to make many reparations, so I could use them in the book.

Mascott's? What is this? Check it out

A family day with our cousins, the famous Mascott's, who live now in a cottage in the north of Germany and take a 3 hours ride for us to get there. We try to see each other once or twice a year. And have dinner together, than we are talking about the good old days. They worked in the greatest plases like Radio City Musical and also together with Sammy Davis Jr. and You can have a look at their performance, here it is.

Ofcourse that was in 1967 now their life is different. They enjoy to be with dogs, and horses and have a very romantic place. I love to walk around the garden with lots of different trees and flowers and collectibles of funny animals, moshrooms, butterflies. You find them everywere out of glass or iron.

Our children are still in Showbusiness. More about that tomorrow. 

There 's no business like....

For me that counts, there's no business than showbusiness. My husband and me are a real artist couple. We met in 1963 and from the very first day we met, we also worked together and yes in SHOWBUSINESS. I was only 18 years old and worked as a dancer. My husband worked in the same show and because his mam was ill, and could not assist him, the director asked me, to be the assistent of an Antipodist. I never heard this word before and was told that is a footjuggler. I got a pretty red velvet costume and so it started.

This was our first pictures in showbiz together, Taken in 1963, me in my red velvet costume with a handsome footjuggler on my site. His artist name: Dieter Oswino. Later on our name became Dieter Oswino and Jidette. After a few years just being his assistent I wanted to be in the show myself and studied also footjuggling. Because I was a good tapdancer and teacher we tried to do tapdance upsidedown. I had to practice very hard it was not easy for me. Dieter held me on his feet, me with feet high holding a wooden drum on my feet and made my routine in Tapdance.
We traveled around the world, also with our lovely baby daughter Nathaly. Such a great life, to visit so many places and meet people from all kind. I have put a video here so if You are interested to see what we did. You can. Enjoy.

Unsere Tochter keep us bussy! So heute sind wir in der Stadt gefahren und zwar nach das City Center Riesig gross mit viele schöne Geschäfte von Dior Lanvin Miu Miu und viele mehr. Auch gibt es verschiedene grosse Galerien . Eine der schönste ist von der Künstler Richard Mac Donald. Muss man unbedingt näher anschauen Er arbeitet in sein Atelier mit Künstler vom Cirque du soleil so wie Acrobaten, Tänzer, die im Ideen liefern und womit er dann zusammen arbeitet, und aus Wax seine Figuren macht.

Dann waren wir noch in der Galerie von Chiuly wunderschöne Glas Sculptures macht er u.a. Auch alle Glass Sculptures in der Bellagio Casino   www.chiuluy.com/bellagio

Muss man auch anklicken ist toll. Unser Schwiegersohn Tuson Big Mountain 

arbeitet dort in der Show von “Viva Elvis” wir hatten glück denn Er konnte uns reinlassen um zu zeigen wie gross das Theater ist, es umfasst 2000 sitzplätze. Vielleicht bekommen wir Freikarten bevor wir wieder nach Hause fahren.

Wir dürften uns noch etwas ausruhen zu Hause bei Nathaly aber schon ging es weiter abends im Casino Santa Fe www.santafestationlasvegas.com/ Das Casino ist nah bei Ihr Haus und es gibt viele Kinos in eine wurde der Film Black Swan gedreht den haben wir uns angeschaut. Wunderschön. Tolle Classische Musik Gute Schauspieler u.a.Natalie Portman geboren in Israel in der Hauptrolle, Mila Kunis from Ukraine,Vincent Cassel geboren in Frankreich. Watch the official vidio:
