Everything that moves me

That's an old one!!

Yes but I am lucky to have this sewing machine.

For some of You who read my blog know that I have finished a real large kingsize quilt last month. It was difficult to get this large work under my sewing machine and just as I was almost ready, ofcourse my machine decided to stop. Not one little stitch was possible, so I gave it one day rest as he was maybe tired of me. I tried it the next day and Yes it went again. So than came the very last border. It ran beautifully but not the last 10 cm. oh no, not again. I almost cried. Lets go to the dealer Dieter said and off we went. But You know a real good machine is almost 2000 US and that is a little tooooo much for me. But I was happy as the shopowner told me to leave my machine there for a good cheque up and hopefully he can make my machine better again, You know it is also 25 years old and always worked perfect for many years. So lets see if he can do it. He gave me an other old sewing machine to take home for as long as my machine is out of order. I worked with that old one and just finished curtains I had to make for our guests room, and had no problems.

day 2 of the UBchallenge.

  2. Second attempt: It's frustrating when something you depend on doesn't work. Luckily I was able to replace my sewing machine on Craig's List!
    Good luck!

  4. It's a universal experience for those of us who give our sewing machines hard workouts, despite their age. I have to use a converter (220 V to 110) right now and I'm sure that adds to the stress on my old gal. I'm inspired by your large quilt project and I'm taking myself off to wander around your site right now. Good luck!
